Volunteer Requirement


Divide Little League runs solely on a volunteer basis. Due to a need for more volunteers to run the league, the Board has voted to implement a 'Volunteer Requirement', starting with the Spring 2019 Season.

Each family of a child playing in AA division and above will be required to perform 5 hours of season volunteering. Examples of areas to volunteer are coaching, being a team parent, umpiring, assisting with team practice, field work day, field prep, concession stand, opening day planning committee, etc.
A complete list of opportunities will be posted to our website and Facebook in the near future. 

Each family will be asked to provide a check in the amount of $100, made payable to Divide Little League, at the start of the season. Should you not fulfill your volunteer hours requirement, your check will be cashed at the end of the season. We will communicate with you throughout the season to give you plenty of time and opportunity to avoid this. When your volunteer hours are satisfied, we will return your check to you.

This new requirement is right in line with other sports and other leagues. We are looking for more help, not more money! If you have any questions or concerns, please email [email protected].
